The Freeport Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Was apprehensive after reading gobs of 1 year+ old reviews. There is some worthy points in them. The only thing I thought needed improvement was the quality of the bed. Everything else fine and good.

Room 119 is clean and not terribly dated. Mini fridge has no freezer. Bed was clean and fresh, no bugs. Very quiet room. Paid $136 total for a weeknight.

We were a bit nervous after reading reviews after we had booked, but we were pleasantly surprised! Location was great, service was friendly (we had a hard time understanding the front desk guy), and rooms were clean. Room was small but designed efficiently! The chair was very worn as well as the hallway carpet (hallway smelled very weird).

My brother stays here when he's in town. We have family living in town... so we usually stay with them unless the house is full. This is the best budget hotel in Freeport ! There is no mint under the pillow... but the complimentary breakfast has everything and it's good. The staff is very friendly and they respond very well to your needs. The hotel is proximate to the highway and directly across the street from the Maine Beer Company and next door to Bucks Naked Barbeque. Other pricier hotels in town are right on the railroad tracks. Didn't use it this year because there was room with family. There is also a pet friendly wing at the end of the hotel. The place is good... The beds are clean... The staff are friendly and attentive... There is no pool... but there is a little patio with a gas firepit and barbeque grill that is fun. Next vacation visit to town I will definitely stay here. If its good enough for my picky brother... it will be good enough for me. Definitely recommend this place unless you want to spend significantly more money for a water view or a mint under your pillow...

Sitting between a busy road and the highway..you have easy access to downtown mall and huge shopping area. Not quite during day..by night yes. All stores close early around here with food being highly limited after 9pm. Ll. BEAN. RALPH LAUREN. GAP. LEVIS. and a number of other stores.. breakfast was good.. cabot butter and smuckers jelly. Rooms were on the smaller size for 2 ?queen? Size beds. Hallways are a bit on the "fabluloso" scent they have automated air fresheners... rooms were neutral in smell.. no bad orders but no good ones either. I could say I enjoyed my stay here. They have a decent patio out back.

This is my second time I have stayed in this hotel in the past 5 years, and I can safely say that this hotel is a very nice hotel. Its beautiful, its clean, we'll taken care of. The breakfast was even good!! Will always recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area.

This was one of our best hotel experiences ever. The hotel is easy to find and has so many places to visit within a few minutes or miles. Freeport is just a few miles with all it's downtown shopping and restaurants. There is also two breweries (one is walking distance across the street) and a pharmacy and gas station super close by. All very useful to us as we were visiting from out of state. 10/10 location for travelers like us. The staff were incredibly attentive and kind, they really take care of the place well and want to make sure all their guests are comfortable and have everything they need. We stayed for a full week and we had all the fresh towels and toiletries we needed for the stay. There was zero issue with check in or check out and when we saw them through out our trip they always made sure to say hello and see if we needed anything. The daily breakfast had a nice variety and was kept stocked, the lounge area to eat was also kept very clean. I can't think of anything I didn't enjoy during the stay. Well done all around and we will highly recommend to anyone we know in the future headed to the area.

love the omlet breakfast, comfy rooms and beds, they are very accepting with my service dogs. very friendly staff couldn’t ask for a better place to rest my head
